The 2012 Property collection office hours and notes: the tax office will be open during January and February Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:30PM; offering extended hours for the taxpayers' convenience on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, from 7 AM to 6 PM.
During March, the office will be open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The last day of collection will be April 2, 2012.
2012 Rensselaer County Property Tax bills are now payable on line by Credit&Debit Card and E-checks. The rates are: 2.45% for credit cards, $3.95 for debit cards and $1.75 for an E-check.
Payment should be made to Katherine E. Lubbers, Receiver of Taxes.
We will receive payment from January 3, 2012 thru January 31, 2012 without penalty. February 1, 2012 thru February 29, 2012 1% penalty, and March 1,2012 thru April 2,2012 2% penalty; Note there is a $2.00 service charge starting March 6, 2012.
