Tax payments will be accepted by the Town of Southport beginning Tuesday, January 3rd 2012 and continue through Monday, April 2nd 2012.
Collection hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm.
Taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2012 without charge or interest. On all taxes received after such date, there shall be added interest of 1% if paid on or before February 29th, 2012 and an additional 2% for each additional month or fraction thereof thereafter until such taxes are paid or until the return of unpaid taxes to the County Treasurer pursuant to law. On all such taxes remaining unpaid on said March 1, 2012 an additional $1.00 notice fee will be collected through April 2, 2012 pursuant to Section 987 of the Real Property Law.
